Building a safe community

Safety 01

Our Cooks have passed background checks

We ask all volunteers to complete a police records check as you may be working with vulnerable people, it helps to ensure the safety of Diners. One of our team will contact you to walk you through the process, it’s simple and no cost to you. Once it’s successfully completed you can start sharing food.

Safety 02

We're here every step of the way

We take extra care to make sure that our Cooks and Diners are happy and safe. We’re always here to help with any questions or issues you may have and we keep in contact by phone or email.

Making a difference to real people

I’ve found the experience of having a home delivered neighbourly meal such as a casserole to be very nice and friendly. It’s lovely to be spoilt every now and then.

Likes a treat

It breaks up the day when she (my Cook) comes, and gives me someone to chat to… I do what I can but most of the time I’m pretty much on my own.

Enjoys a chat

I was expecting an extra chop but I was confronted, delightfully, with 2 lamb shanks, a whole container of potatoes and one of zucchini slice. It means I don’t have to cook a meal and although I do still make my own meals it’s nice to have one prepared for you.
